The Blacklock Family

Joseph Blacklock was born around 1798 and was enslaved in Maryland. In October of 1849, Blacklock had a daughter named Isabella Hawkins. She was born in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. In October of 1869, Isabella married Henry Randall. Henry and Isabella had thirteen children together: Mary Edith (b.1863), Peter (b.1865), William Henry (b.1866), Augustus (b.1869), Catharina (b.1872), Anna (b.1875), Alphonso (b.1876), Thomas (b.1876), Della (b.1878), Agnes (b.1880), Rosa (b.1882), Joseph (b.1884), and Edward Casmia (b.1890). While it is not clear when her father died, Isabella died on February 13, 1921 at the age of 72 in Brentwood, Prince George’s County in Maryland as a free woman.
